I have a HP photosmart 8250 printer too :-) BTW, recently bought cheap replacement ink from 123 Ink Cartridges for my 8250, they work well.

Go to the web page - www.hp.com - find support/dowloads- find your printer - download the software easy peasy. It s free - cause if you havn t got the printer the software is useless - good printing.
