How can I receive a fax on my printer? -

How can I receive a fax on my printer? It is a Canon Mp350 and there is nothing in the user guide on how to recieve a fax. Does anyone know how I can?

In order to receive a FAX, someone has to send you one from another FAX machine. As someone else suggested, your FAX has to be connected to your phone line (wired). If you have everything connected properly and the MP530 is working correctly, you can dial the phone number to which it is connected and the FAX will answer you. When it answers you will hear a tone. Of course since you are not a FAX machine, that s all you can do but it at least proves that your FAX machine is ready to receive a FAX.

Is it connected to the phone line? Check the user guide and connect the phone line to the quot;Inquot; of the printer and then you should be able to receive the fax. See whether you are hearing the dial tone.
