Can a cell phone be hooked up to a printer? -

I want to get the G1 and get rid of my internet service but before I do that I need to know if there s a way for me to print things from the cell phone. Would I be able to hook the phone up to my printer and print whatever I need to from there, or would I still need my internet service to send it to an email account and print that way?

Hi- There is no way to hook your phone up directly to your printer and print from it. However you can easily hook your phone up to your computer and transfer files to it and then print from there. Good luck- I hear the G1 is a nice phone.

What kind of printers do you use with a laptop? -

I know this may sound naive but I really know nothing about laptops. The only printer I own is a Canon desktop Bubblejet printer (for the PC). What are the popular models for laptop printers? Also, does anybody know how to attach a laptop to a colour copier so that I can print? F.y.i., the laptop is a new Acer model. I don t know the exact model. I m asking on behalf of someone else. Detailed answers would be appreciated.

You can use any printer with any laptop.(Almost every printer have a Printer Port and a USB Port). You can try using portable printers.(Its easy to carry) Any kind of printer (Colour or normal) works fine with laptops. Remember, laptop is just a compact computer.

Hallo sir, Any kind of printer will work with your Laptop, most of the modern laptop have provision for USB Port. If the laptop has that cable just connect it and make sure you have the drivers (CD) that come along with the printer. If the printer does not have USB cable then it has LPT cable. Connect it to the laptop. The hardware will be detected automatically and you will be required to have the CD that come with your printer. for more details feel free to contact me on ismuir2000@yahoo.com

Some printers now connect to any computer with USB ports which most (if not all) laptops come with. So, you can pretty much use just about any printer if your laptop has the right inputs.

I use a Canon laptop printer... check out canonusa.com

I have a macbook pro and before that another macintosh laptop and for six years I ve used the bubble-jet by canon. I just got the new one about three months ago, the i90 bubblejet and it s tiny and it rocks. Go to apple.com website, go to the store section, then find printers....from there you can find reviews for many different printers they sell. The i90 can work on any laptop, doesn t just have to be a mac.....it prints out pictures really well and is only two inches tall and ten inches wide.... good luck, Jack

the same as with a desk top. they just hook up with the usb port, same as a desk top.

hp laserjet

A laptop is a computer just like any other. It can print to the same sort of printers that any other computer can print to. That said, there are portable printers made to be carried around with laptops. But these printers can just as easily be used with desktop computers. There s really no difference except in the size of the case.

How do I keep my Lexmark printer cartridges from drying up? -

I don t use my printer everyday. The ink dries up and I have to buy new ones. I have tried to hydrate them, but it does not work. This is getting very expensive.

Lexmark, Dell (made by Lexmark), and Epson printers have a lot of trouble with their ink. If your ink waste is getting to much, it may be cheaper in the long run to purchase an HP.

hi, I am also using lexmark 4200 series and facing the same problem earlier. now what i did. i take 1 b/w and 1 color print ever 4th day. i take printouts just to save cartridegs.

its why lexmark printers are so inexpensive. cheep printers . but you have to buy the ink Laser printers are much cheaper in the long run

Run a print head cleaning once every three weeks as a preventative measure.. This will use a small amount of ink, however prevent dryness so it is well worth it in the long run. This not only goes for Lexmark, but all inkjet printers. Cartridges drying out is inevitable if you don t use your printer.

Lexmark and Epson are notorious for this. I had an Epson and got rid of it. Go with an HP. They are high quality and you can shop around and get a good value. I bought a B/W and Color printer which is also a scanner and a copier for $99 at Best Buy. It has been great!!

It s recommended that you use in the printer in some way at least once a month, whether that s a head cleaning or just printing something. Using the printer regularly is the only way to prevent them from drying out - there really isn t any tricks that will help you. What do you mean when you say you tried to hydrate them? If it is just a matter of them getting dried out, then you should be able to solve that problem by soaking the cartridges. If they are only a little dried out, you can put the print head (the copper part) on a wet paper towel for a few seconds. If they are more than a little dried out, you can soak the bottom portion in a tiny bit of water until you see ink flowing out.

If you live in dry conditions (low humidity) that can dry the cartidges up. Or not using or running the cleaning cycle for 2 weeks or more can dry them up. Printing 1000 flyers will dry them up (My Epson Stylus 800 used almost 6 cartridges for 5,000 color flyers for a missing son, for this couple. Luckily they paid for the ink and made enough to pay off the printer in one day.) For preventative measures, I will wrap the cartridge in aluminum foil and place it in my refridgerator. If you leave them in for more than 24 hours, give it about an hour to quot;thawquot; out since the ink has the consistency of maple syrup when first taken out. But it works. However, HP is far superior to Lexmark. Even my HP 630c printer (which was $30 at KMart) lasted 3 years of heavy use before it crapped out on me. On the slow months, never had an issue with ink drying up.

I don t know if this would work or not, but try wrapping it in a medium sized plastic trash bag and put a wet sponge in with it and keep it sealed when not in use. This will keep the air inside slightly moisturized and could prevent the ink from drying out. Simply pull the bag down around the printer when using it and re-wrap when done. Re wet the sponge as needed.

How do i make my epson stylus photo r300 print in just black? -

obviously i just print text normally and it just prints black. but now i need to perform a head cleaning and it refuses to do it because its out of ink (its been out of colored ink for months). Im having trouble finding where i can program it to just print in black and stop worrying about color so it can perform the maintenance operations. please help?

You could leave the empty colour cartridge in your printer and reset the chip on the back using this utility. http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml The printer will think it has a new cartridge but obviously nothing will come out if it attempts to print any colour.

http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/r300_… you will still have to use all the ink, but you will save money of you set it to text.

Sorry, but there s no way to get the Epson Stylus Photo R300 to print with just the black ink. You need all 6 ink cartridges to contain ink before it will print.

What is the best paper to use for an HP 4050N? -

What is the best paper to use for an HP 4050N? Be specific, please.

For general printing, just go to Walmart or something, and get a reem of Hammermill white bond paper. It runs about $3. I wouldn t worry about using the quot;bestquot; paper, because it s not going to give you a better print than something that costs less. For photos, it depends on what you want. I generally use Hammermill Semi-Gloss photo paper. It runs about $7 for 60 sheets at Walmart.

Anything with a 92 brightness or higher is usually fairly decent stock. Get a name brand like Weyerhauser or Georgia Pacific. Some of the finest paper in the world is made by a company named Crane in New England. They make - among other things - the paper the government uses to print money. They re not cheap, but it s great paper.

use any paper for copier will do or get any paper with a spec of sub 20 class A , it is widely used in copier and can be used in laser jet printer

What printer ink for the Epson Stylus Photo R285? -

I cant locate the exact cartridge ink for the model described above, can i use a similar ink for the same model?

Go to this website and sroll down to the ink cartridges available for this printer. It will give you the exact model number for each color and you can link to purchase online. http://www.epson.co.uk/printers/claria_p… You can also click on the quot;Where to buyquot; link and enter your location and it will tell you what stores the inks are available in.

Here s a link to a site that sells them. It looks like the part number is T080n with n being the number corresponding to the color. http://www.prink.co.uk/ink-cartridges/pa…

How do you download a printer without a cd? -

I have a dell inspiron mini:http://www.dell.com/content/products/pro… I need to print something, so how do you download a printer without a cd?

Your computer model is irrelevant. Having the model number and maker (for example: HP Deskjet P1000) would be a lot more useful. Also, your Windows version (XP or Vista) would be helpful. You can find this by clicking on your start bar and reading the vertical label. Anyway, the other answer is correct. Go to the manufacturer (of the printer) website and download the driver (for example, HP.com) and click on quot;supportquot; or quot;download driversquot; and get the driver for your operating system (for example Windows Vista) and select the correct printer.

Go to the manufacturer of that printer and search for the drivers of that particular printer model You could also get an external cd drive.

A printer is a piece of hardware! You dont download hardware! If you have a printer, download the software for it from the printer mfgs site

you cant unles you do it illegaly

How can i print the front of hey monday t-shirt ? -

Ok i am making my own t-shirt instead of buying one online, and i dont know how i can get the fron of the shirt to be able to print it. Do you know what i mean ?

What you need to do is buy transfer paper for your deskjet printer. use your favorite word processor or whateve, design what you want to print on the T-shirt. When finish. do a test and print out a sheet on regular paper. If you like it, then put in your transer paper put make sure you set the printer to gt;gt;gt; Invertlt;lt;lt; so that the images prints backward. This way, when you iron it on, it will come out ok. Put a piece of paper over the transfer paper and then iron it. That helps the ink to seep in the tissue and won t disappear even after a few wash.

How do you dispose of a laser printer? -

I have a broken one I need to get rid of. I just need to know if I should put in dumpster or if there are other options.

You can check your local phonebook for Recyclers of computer equipment

To dispose of it responsibly, you need to take it to the dump where they have an electronic waste disposal area. This is so the various chemicals in the circuit boards don t wind up in the ground. Electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit city might offer a service or they could tell you any alternate drop off locations.

See if there are any electronics recycling programs in you area, that would be the best and most earth smart way to go about things. They do contain many elements that can be reused.

dump it.

How do I take the time and date off printer? -

May be a simple question, but I m running Mac OSX and have a HP Photosmart C1400 printer. Whenever I print pages from both Safari and Firefox, the date and time will appear at the bottom of the page. How do I get rid of this? This problem doesn t occur when I print things from Microsoft Word.

Check in the page settings. Most browsers give you the option to turn this extra header/footer information off. Not sure on a Mac, but in Windows its File -gt; Page Setup.

What does windows vista ready mean in reference to compatability on a printer? -

I need a new printer, want an HP all in one, some spec are saying vista ready, others say vista compatible, others say vista certified - which do I need?! What is the difference?

It means that the softwear you will have to install, in order for your computer to recognise the printer is compatible with vista. Vista will recognise the drivers.

I would guess that they all mean the same thing. i.e they work with Windows Vista.

hi they are all the the same it just means that they work with Windows Vista. hope this helps

What is a generic and vendor printer driver? -

I m studying IT and I am clueless about what these printer drivers are all about and am having trouble finding answers. so if you could please help me I would appreciate it very much.

A generic printer driver will just use the printer s simplest functions to print a page. Using a generic driver, text pages should print, but graphics may not print as you wish. Print jobs will normally be slower with a generic printer driver. Vendors printer drivers will take advantage of every feature within the printer. Using them will result in better rendering of graphics and fonts and faster print jobs (usually -- If not, revert to a generic driver!). In general, I use vendors printer driver when they re available.

Hi there A generic driver will let you use the basic functions of the printer (without any warning - low ink etc ) and will be slower then if you use the vendor drivers. Vendor drivers will take advantage of all the feature of the printer. you will get a better result of graphics and fonts and the printer will work out faster. Cheers
