How to fix the print spooler service is not working issue for HP C5380 printer? -

Pretty much as it says on the tin. Been working fine then tried to print a self created PDF and this problem has come up. Won t go away even if i turn off/on the printer. Been working fine for the last week...

Go to Start / Run and type in quot;services.mscquot; without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK. In the window that opens (Services) look for quot;Print Spoolerquot; on the right Right-click quot;Print Spoolerquot; and select quot;Propertiesquot;. Click on the quot;Recoveryquot; tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to quot;Restart The Servicequot;. Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say quot;1quot; in them. Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you re good to go. Go back into the properties of the quot;Print Spoolerquot; tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately. The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

You can try to fix it through your registry. It is not advisable to solve this problem in your own because it may harm your system. So, I suggest you consult your nearest technical support in order to fix it for you.

You need to switch off the printer, restart your PC or Mac. I have a HP printer with same problem. This happens every time when the test page comes out after, sudden power cut, change new cartridges, paper jam etc.......

Possibly a stupid question but have you tried re-cycling the Print Spooler service? Quickest way: Start gt; Run gt; type quot;cmdquot; (without quotes) Then in the Dos Prompt type: net stop spooler Wait for command to finish, then type: net start spooler

Remove the printer driver and then re-install again the driver, when driver becomes corrupt then this warning comes.

Try clicking start-Control Panel-Administrative Tools-Sevices Shortcut.Go down to see if print spooler is on.

You have to restart your print spooler service.
