Is it okay to place a printer on top of a cardboard box? -

I am afraid the box might catch on fire if the printer gets too hot. Is this realistically possible or am I being too precautious?

printers don t get hot. the ac adaptor does. paper catches fire at 451 degrees. is it that freakin hot? email me with problems 10 points please :)

I would worry more about the vibration generated when it is printing and causing it to fall off.
