Why does my freaking printer stop working all the time? -

It works if I have to scan something, and if I have to copy something, but, if I want to print from the pc to the printer, it just doesn t print. It s fairly new. It s a brother mfc240 or somthing like that. I ve read the manual a ton of times and can t figure out why it s disconnected.

One of two issues; it s either not connected to your PC properly or you have an uncompatible driver. go to the manufacturer s web site and get the latest driver. The fact that it faxes and copies points to either a connection issue or a driver issue. How are you connecting it to your PC? What operating system are you using (windows xp, windows 2000, windows vista, etc), and is the operating system giving you any feedback when you plug in the printer?

Ok so its not a cable issue since it can print. Wait, check and see if the cable from the computer to the printer is hooked up tight, that cable could be bad, the other features work without it being connected to the computer most likely. I know when I had my printer having problems it was because it was important to have it plugged in during certain operations during installations, and turned on or off as the directions showed during the installation of the software. Theres no communication going on so Look at my computer, under printers is it listed? Is it set as the default printer? Im sure somone will come along with more info than I have but for now try checking these and making sure that info is correct.

Simple fix to a known issue on USB printers. START menu, Settings, and control panel, open PRINTERS and Faxes Highlight the driver for the printer, press DELETE key and confirm it, repeat for any drivers with same name and quot;COPYquot; after it START menu, Shutdown, restart Windows will redetect the printer on restart and connect to it

The name quot;brotherquot; explains your problem. They need to stick with sewing machines. K, go to the brother site and download the latest software and driver for it.

thers probobly somthing wrong with the printer. Your gonna have to bring it in the store you bought it from. I mean if you read the manual that many times.

have you made sure the power plugs are correctly plugged into their corresponding sockets? if not, you should try that.. then you might need to call brother if the problem persists.

Maybe it s time to get a new printer.

You are a nice girl, that s why. It loves you but maybe needs ink or reparation.

because printers suck

Is it a wireless one?

ask your boss does hi more paper
