What does the error quot;the data area passed to a system call is too smallquot; mean? -

I am trying to add a networked printer (HP photosmart d7360) to my WinXP laptop. The printer is connected to my desktop, running WinME. Every time I try to add the printer, I get the following error message: quot;the data area passed to a system call is too small.quot; Then, the window freezes up and will not respond. Anyone have any suggestions?
