How do I still print when a colour has allegedly run out on my Epson R300 printer? -

replace that colour.......Genius!

Unfortunately with modern printers, even if you want to print black only, if a colour cartridge is empty, you will be unable to print until you replace, Again, you used to be able to fool the printer, by taking the cartridge out momentarily and putting it back in, but they re newer and wiser now. Can t trick computers.

You print on another printer, or you replace the cartridge. Epson are cheeky little bastards. Although you don t think you are printing in colour, every time, and I do mean every time you print in black it is underlying all 5 colours, then printing black on top of it. It is very likely although you don t feel as though you have used a complete cartridge, you have.

when epson printer show empty there s always a little ink left in the cartridges and not really enough to be useful if you print out a photograph you ll find it runs out before it s finished being printed there s usually enough to print a few pages of text as that doesn t use anywhere as much ink as printing photos

You can t untill you have replaced the empty one mate. i have the epson R200 series.
