Looking for a cheap and basic but economical black and white laser printer? -

I am looking for a cheap and very basic black and white laser printer. It doesn t have to be fast, but it has to print a good quality text and should be economical. The one uses cheap cartridge but can print a lot of text is preferred. Any suggestions? Thank you very much.

I have a HP LJ 1018 and it works great. The printer linked here is the next generation of my printer - for $100 you can t really beat it. HP also has a lot of mail-in rebates floating around so you might be able to get it cheaper.

Look up the 800 # for H.P. call and ask what they have in refurbished. You can get them for next to nothing, with a warranty.

HP printers are excellent and have better print quality, but the ink is more expensive. Brother printers are about the same price, and the ink is less expensive. The print quality is not quite as, but acceptable. Go to Office Depot and Best Buy to demo a few models.
