Can I just print with one print cartridge even though my printer comes with two? -

I bought a Lexmark X2500 printer in a clearance sale. Instructions says it come with two print cartridges. One color print cartridge and one optional photo color print cartridge (which I am missing). It has two slots for the two print cartridges. Will it still work even though it is missing one print cartridge?

There is usually one black and one colour cartridge in printers. The other optional photo one you would usually have to buy as its optional, but if the box says it comes with two coloured ones then it should have two. Printers will usually give you an error message if it has one cartridge missing. I llll try to find the manual for it says and get back to you. Edit You should have one black one colour. When they say on the box something is optional it means it can also work if but you have to buy it separate. Photo cartridges are usually swapped for the regular colour one when printing photos. It seems you have bought something that was not what it should have been. The link below is to the manual for your printer and page 11,on the page counter at the bottom, states black and colour cartridges. http://www.lexmark.com/publications/pdfs…

You can print ordinary color documents but probably not photos as you do not have the (optional) photo print cartridge

why dont you try it? §jerry§
