How do I make my printer wireless? -

I have a computer that is hook to my router wireless and I want to make my printer wireless too.

You can use any of the manufacturers wireless print server devices to connect to your printer. Then when you configure the printer driver you need to install your drivers and say that they belong to a network device and that it is spooling the print for you. Configure it exactly the same way that you would set up a PC to spool your print. It s a little harder setting up with a manufacturer specific device but not impossible. If you go to staples.com etc you should find the correct device though please bear in mind that when you take into account the cost of the spooler that it may be cheaper to buy a new printer that does have wireless printing, they are cheap and inexpensive. If you are don t want to waste the printer you currently have then it is likely that you could donate to a charity or school, this makes a great tax write off as well.

Your printer either needs to plug into your wireless router, if your router has a USB port on the back, or you need to buy a wireless print server Here is an example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… Of course, that is for usb printers, parallel printers have different adapters, and they come in all brands and prices. Look on that website for more.

I made my HP 1600 Colour Laser wireless by simply adding a HP Wireless print server I found on e-Bay for a few quid Simply search for wireless print server A new one is about £30 More info here http://www.microwarehouse.co.uk/catalogu…

You would most likely need a wireless print server. Many companies make them and they can be fairly inexpensive.

if not a wireless printer by itself its difficult to make one as wireless printer
