How do i install a web camera without the instalation disk? -

I downloaded a driver off the web, but I still can t install the camera, nor the driver now.

If I knew what type of camera it was, I could tell you what web address to go to, but unfortunately, I don t. Look in the directions, there is bound to be a website in it, or on the original box. Just go to that website and look at downloads/drivers, and bada-bing. I had this exact same problem except with printer software, so I can understand how hard it is to find it. So, ya, just look on the box or in the directions for a manufactures web address, and go to it on the internet. Then look under downloads/drivers according to the model of camera, and depending on the website it will either be drivers or downloads.

Snoop around, its guaranteed to be in the internet if its a brand web camera.

Try downloading the driver frm internet, sometimes windows is ok with built in driver, try that.

in most cases you cannot check the manuf site also there are different versions of the same cameras The drivers for one may not work on another Check the version on the camera ( it will listed as model,,,, ver number) Unintall the driver and reboot before installing the new one. In most cases people now are only needing to install the driver - the programs used are messengers - msn messenger, skype, yahoo ,eyeball chat etc
