What Do you need to know to buy the right ink for a printer? -

Ok, So i don t know anything about computers.

Wherever you buy ink on line or at a store the questions will be: (1) What brand of printer do you have (say HP or Canon or Brother etc) (2) What model is it (for example HP2000 or Canon Pixma 3500 etc) (3) What color do you want (black, magenta, photo cyan etc) That is the only way you will get what you need. However, theink does NOT have to be from the printer company such as HP or Canon. It can be a generic ink which means it is made for your printer by someother company than the manufacturer. Generic inks are usuall half price from the HP or Canon brands and are just about as good. At least I see NO difference and have used dozens of generic. The cheapest in in stores like Walgreen at about $10 but on line you can get the same cartridge for about $6.00 Hope thishelps. Goodluck

You need to know the brand of the printer and the type of cartridge. Type of cartridge you find in the manual or on the cartridge. But have a look in the internet for printshops etc. They offer cartridges for much lower prices than the originals and sometimes they even hold more ink. And whatever the manual tells you. The warranty becomes not invalid by using other ink than the original.

The brand amp; model of printer. Go to WalMart or an office supplies store. You can also take in the empty cartridges.
