Is it possible to share printers between different WorkGroups? -

workgroup1 has printer1 connected to computer1 workgroup2 has printer2 connected to computer2 workgroup3 has printer3 connected to computer3 so can each printer be shared with the other computers with different workgroups

Of course they can, im a printer engineer, if you go to start menu on the PC and then settings and printers for the 2000 OS Pc s and start menu and printers and faxes on the XP Pc s from there you will see the print queues from the printers installed on the PC, if you right click on the printer and go to properties, inside properties you will see a tab called sharing, tick the relevant box and give the printer a share name. then go to your own PC and again start settings and printers only this time go to add printer and select nect and then select the option a network printer or a printer install on another PC, this will bring up the box from where you can search for the printers name which you applied. and hey presto the printer is installed, Hope this helped :)

Yes, as long as they are connected in one network/hub/router, you just need their IP addresses, and all of the printers are shared
