Ok. So you figured out that if you hit the Prt Scrn button, it captures an image of the screen onto the clipboard, and you can then paste the results (CTRL-V or Edit-Paste) into any image program... like paint (start - all programs - accessories - paint)... and then save it is a JPG or a BMP or whatever you want. How does a printer figure into this?

Yes. No printer need. Just because you use the Prt Scrn Button, doesn t mean you need a printer. That is an old expression from the mainframe computer days.
